🏥 Health
On Wednesday, the Florida Chapter of the American College of Physicians requested a hearing from the Department of Health to review a proposal that would ease vaccine requirements for school children, citing scientific studies and public health concerns & urging careful review.
Local health officials are investigating whether dengue caused the death of an 80-year-old South Tampa resident last Friday, amid 111 statewide cases and 95 in Tampa since July.
Mosquito control measures continue and residents are urged to use insect repellent.

After dropping a 3-1 game to the Braves at Truist Park on Thursday, the Rays now wait to clinch a playoff spot if they win tonight at Tropicana Field and other key games fall in their favor (their postseason hopes may revive).
