The Rays' World Series run brought an estimated $40 million economic impact to Pinellas County, according to figures from . About $22 million of it was direct visitor spending from Oct. 25 through 29, the five days that included three games against the Brewers.

Milwaukee fans helped. Visit St. Pete-Clearwater's Jason Latimer said the area welcomed about 34% more out-of-town visitors, with roughly nine times as many from Wisconsin. TickPick estimated 41% of Game 4 tickets were bought in Wisconsin, and weekday foot traffic at the St. Pete Pier noticeably increased. Ferg's Sports Bar went through 42,000 chicken wings.

  • Hotel occupancy: 79% on average, peaking at 85% on Oct. 27
  • Crowds: 121,391 fans over three games
  • Police: about 100 officers; total cost not yet released

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue reported $58,880.25 in staffing costs, which Deputy Chief Brett Ciskoski said the Rays would reimburse. The Police Department hasn't yet given a total for its World Series staffing and overtime.
